About Meetcord
Meetcord is a Discord bot that records the meetings in a voice channel, transcribes each person separately and writes the minutes with a summary, decisions and action items. This page says who is behind it and how to reach them.
Who runs Meetcord
Meetcord is built and run by Rubiz. Meetcord is not affiliated with Discord Inc.
How it works
Discord sends each participant's audio on its own stream. Meetcord keeps the streams apart, which is why the transcript knows who said each sentence instead of guessing it from a mixed recording.
The audio is sent to api.groq.com for transcription and the transcript to OpenAI for the summary. The minutes are posted in a thread of your server and on the web dashboard, where only people who can see that channel in Discord can open them.
What it commits to
It never records in secret: while it records, the bot is in the voice channel with a [🔴REC] flag on its name and leaves a notice in the chat.
Each server decides how long audio is kept, up to 30 days, and whoever manages the server can delete a recap with its transcript and audio at any time. The free plan includes 60 minutes a month, no card needed.
